Sales Engineer

We're looking for a Sales Engineer to join our growing Sales team. As a Sales Engineer, you will partner with our Sales team as a technical resource while engaging with prospective clients. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding potential customers' technical needs and translating how our products offerings could be a fit. You will be proficient in the technical aspects of our products and will advise on and design solutions for potential customers.

Your role at Mapiq

 As the first Sales Engineer at Mapiq, you'll have the opportunity to shape this new role within our fast-growing sales team. You will work closely with the Head of Sales to identify gaps and define best practices. Thanks to your technical and communication skills we will close more deals with our dream enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain expertise in feature functionality and practical application of all our product offerings;
  • Help stakeholders across varying companies to understand and evaluate the technical capabilities of our products, leading evaluation cycles to gain product fit consensus;
  • Lead the technical discussions with topics like Cloud services, IoT sensors, IT Architecture, O365, SSO and API integrations and Information security and privacy;
  • Understand and interpret prospective customer requirements, delivering customized product demonstrations to match customer needs;
  • Design, validate and document technical solutions to share with prospective customers;
  • Answer customer questions on the technology part of the Mapiq solution, security, and risks;
  • Collect and analyze feedback from prospective customers to influence roadmap, collaborating with the sales, solution and product management teams to meet our prospects' business challenges and align with our internal business objectives;
  • Participate in RFI/RFP process and respond to technical and InfoSec assessments.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of experience with Sales Engineering who is comfortable working with Enterprise organizations across the globe. The ideal candidate should understand how to sell value and stand behind our mission to build great places to work.

  • 5+ years of professional experience working in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or correlated consulting roles within enterprise software;
  • Experience with SaaS solutions and various integrations;
  • Experience representing technical concepts to an audience of varying technical understanding;
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to build relationships with potential customers, understand their environment, and introduce new concepts to solve problems;
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities;
  • Comfortable with a fluid, fast-paced environment;
  • A passion for problem solving.
