Solution Architect

As a Solution Architect, you work hand in hand with Mapiq (enterprise) customers to help them make the most of their smart offices and activity-based working transformation journey. You will be at the crossroads of business and technology and lead the technical engagement of customers throughout the sales and implementation stages of our solutions. You will participate in customer meetings to discuss their business challenges and take a leading role in creating and presenting technical content. You will help Mapiq clients to evaluate and give guidance to the smart working platform and sensor network solution that best fit your needs. The ideal candidate seeks new learning opportunities, leads from the front, challenges the status quo, is willing to accept new challenges and makes colleagues grow through technical and professional coaching.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Together with sales, conduct discovery and assessment workshops with clients, understand and document client’s business problems/needs and suggest the best solution.
  • Conduct technical presentations and architectural design sessions to demonstrate the capabilities of the Mapiq products and services and lead the technical engagement of the customer.
  • Facilitate integration, alignment and excellent communication within the solution group and across the company.
  • Support, improve and design the Mapiq client implementation processes and tooling to accelerate and simplify the client implementation steps.
  • Work with other architects and senior technologists to curate and maintain the sensor network solution.
  • Engage and support our customers during the Mapiq solution implementation process and closely work together with the delivery manager to establish new ways of thinking and acting for creative solutions.
  • Coach and support teammates and colleagues with your experience in IT solution architecture and enterprise deals.
  • Be actively involved in analysis, solution design, client communication and implementation projects. 

Who are we looking for

  • At least 5 years enterprise IT experience that may include hands-on Software Development, DevOps engineering, Systems Architecture, Technical Project Management or similar.

  • Has proven experience as a Solution Architect, Pre-sales Engineer or Product Manager, at a global company.

  • Ability to oversee all aspects of a client implementation effort operationally, as well as seek solutions when issues arise.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and result oriented leadership skills with the ability to be a successful team builder in a time critical environment.

  • Excellent analytical and conceptional skills and possess an entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Experience working with modern REST API’s with a good understanding of permissioning and authentication solutions such as SAML and OAuth.
  • Understanding of security concepts specific such as network access, cloud security, app security, SaaS, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27000, etc).
  • Seeks to identify creative solutions and identify alternatives when usual methods don’t work.
  • Experience working with SaaS software and related technologies in a high-growth business, including in the B2B2C space.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and willingness to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical/engineering area like Computer Science.
  • Interest and affinity with smart workplace applications and IoT smart office sensor technologies
  • Good knowledge and experience of IT applications, data processing and network environments preferably in a corporate environment
  • Strong pre-sales capabilities and experience in customer-facing teams.
  • Fluency in English, preferably German, but at least another additional European language.
  • Willing/able to work a flexible schedule around project deadlines and implementations, as necessary.
  • International travel (<10%)
